  • Why Fur-ever Friends?

I like coming here because the Moores have learned my routine: go out first, then breakfast (if I feel like it). Leave me alone until the other dogs start coming and everyday, I like to be brushed. Hugging is mandatory as are kisses (but not too many). Once I taught them what I like and what I don't, I love coming here - it is my home away from home.

  • Meet your Fur-ever Friend here

The dogs spend time outside each day weather permitting. Wouldn't your dog like to join them?

Dogs of the Month

Hazel Nut and Hershey bar

Hershey, who will be 10 years old this month, was rescued from a puppy mill. Hazel (almost 7 years old) was rescued a few years later. They came to Fur-ever Friends last August when their mom took a job in Wilmington. They are our “Security Team”. They let me know when someone comes in the front door (which is handy when I am outside) and Hershey stands guard in case I need assistance (like chasing away solicitors!) Hersh holds a record for how long he can sit up and beg (1 minute, 30 seconds) and Hazel has learned new tricks for treats! They always make me laugh. Hazel bounces up and down on their cot and both Hazel and Hershey give lots of kisses (Hershey kisses!!) For all of these reasons, Hazel Nut and Hershey Bar are the Dogs of the Month!

Welcome!
